I was just polled by Gallup.
They asked a lot of health questions - things like "do you suffer from any of the following conditions". They asked if I had health insurance but they didn't ask what I thought about my insurance or what I thought of the current reform efforts.

They listed some banks and asked how much confidence I had in each of them.

They asked the obvious questions about political affiliation and leanings, and about religion and church attendance. They also asked for my height and weight which struck me as unusual.

They asked if I was satisfied with the President's performance. The only allowed answers for this were "satisfied" or "dissatisfied". I wish they had used a scale like they did with some of the other questions.

There was nothing that I would consider to be a leading question.

1. That's better than being polled by Gollum
Ask Samwise about that.

2. Interesting! Thanks for sharing this. You can't tell the political angle from a good survey.
The height and weight question is interesting, but as the topic was about healthcare, a logical one.

It looks like they piggybacked surveys for two clients.

10. That's what I thought.
At least two. Health care and economics.

5. "Hi, this is Gallup."
"How can I be sure you are really Gallup?"

"I said so, didn't I?"

"Oh, good point. OK, shoot."

9. The caller ID said Gallup
so I'm pretty sure they were. That can be faked of course, but why would anyone go to all that trouble?

6. Zogby polls me online.
They ask a lot of political questions. I don't know how they figure that the republicans are always ahead.

And by the way, they didn't say which poll but they said that the public is now blaming the democrats for the recession. Well what with Fox blasting it 24.7 by all their commentators and CNN joining in, what did they expect. CNN is as worst as Fox for blaming democrats for everything.

8. The height and weight thing is strange..unless
...they're trying to work the issue of obesity, somehow.
Strange, though, because people can bullshit very easily about their weight and height.
