1. She started out calling them "teabaggers" at the beginning of the show
and Joe told her not to call them that and to call them "tea partiers". She mumbled something about that is what they are called, only to be told that they don't like being called that. She's just towing the line.

2. earlier in the morning - her statement was that the "teabaggers" were turning on each other
Joe challenged the term "teabagger" - to make a joke, of course. Emphasized that it was the "Tea Party" - not the "Teabag Party".

I am glad they continue to make fun of these goombahs. No one is taking them seriously - just old "John Birchers" rebranded.

3. Joe sees the tea baggers / tea party freaks as further minimizing the Republican party
Joe makes no bones that he's a conservative.

However, he has said repeatedly that what works for a candidate in the south isn't going to work for a candidate up in New England and that this purification of the party that the "baggers" and Limbaugh are insisting on is going to destroy the party in the end.

Not exactly an Einsteinesque statement but Joe and other Republicans see the storm on the horizon that will hit big time if the baggers manage to wrest control of the party away from the establishment.

4. That's what a group of
bullies and hate mongers do. They eventually turn on each other because they all want to be the chief and no one wants to be in the crowd.

5. Does Joe really think the term "tea partiers" is better than "teabaggers"?
Because, you know, it makes them sound like they're "partiers." With, you know, "tea."

Party hearty, dudes!!!!!
