WABC: Oprah to Announce End of her Talk Show

Eyewitness News has learned that Oprah will announce on Friday that she has decided to end her talk show.

Oprah told her staff of her decision during a company meeting on Thursday afternoon. The president of Harpo Studios notified media partners later Thursday

She is expected to make a public announcement on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on Friday.

Back in January of 2008, Oprah announced she was launching OWN - The Oprah Winfrey Network.

It was widely expected that the TV talk queen would stop doing her syndicated program in September 2011 to focus on the cable network.

I know it takes a lot of patience to deal with someone who is as dumb as

I have loved/hated Oprah for years.

On the balance, I would say she has been a positive force in the media.

Still, it seems good to call it a day and let someone else have a turn.

My TV IQ is really, really low. :D

I saw my first "Dancing with the starts" the other night, had no idea who anyone was except I recognized a seriously aged Donny Osmond. :rofl:

8. I saw Oprah once, when President Clinton was on...

And the only part of "Dancing with the Stars" I've seen were the clips on the news of Tom DeLay... x(
