Remember back when Lieberman was running against the Democratic candidate Ned Lamont and many DUers
..... found it in their heads and hearts to defend Joe, citing his reliable support for social issues, even as he was a strong war supporter.

Will anyone now own up to supporting him? Or even defending him? Or even saying something nice about him?

1. I seem to remember someone attacking me over the Lamont/Liebershit thing.
I just couldn't understand how ANYONE WITH HALF A BRAIN wouldn't want Ned Lamont in that seat. Some of us knew better at the time. Joe has always been a bit of a problem, and there was no reason to think otherwise at that time. After all, Democrats rejected him and that wasn't good enough for him.

He needs to go, and I do believe he will be gone after 2012.

That's the nicest thing I could think of.

3. I really love it that Joe's fan clubbers are unrecing this.
Don't be shy, unreccers .... come forward and identify yourself. Have the courage of your convictions.

Its sad how this pronographic observation gets made over and over .......

4. What was also revealed was that the will of the voters meant squat
to some Dems who went ahead and campaigned with Lieberman out of "friendship" regardless of the wishes of the Dem primary voters.

And now he is the man trying to singlehandedly kill off healthcare reform.

6. Yup ..........
..... that was one of the reasons I couldn't get behind Clinton in the last primary. Not that she's alone. Far, far, far from it ..... but still .....

5. I think a lot of Lieberman's diehard supporters got tombstoned in 2006
This was right after the state primary in CT, when Lamont clinched it and Lieberman decided to go indie.

18. i was at the rally in Nashville when Al introduced him, and was crestfallen.
i couldn't understand it. we'd waited so long, and this is what we got. it made no sense, and still makes no sense. i actually wanted to like him -- like the crappy boyfriend your best friend just brought home for introductions (what does she see in him?! is this calculated to piss off the ex?).

i put my vote next to HIS name and i'll feel good about it. the vote was for AL. period. Lieberman was the dingleberry, crappy boyfriend that we would've had to put up with. would'a been better than Bush, but then, a turnip would have also been better.

12. As I recall
Lieberman supporters were pretty much slapped around after Lamont won the primary and Joe went independent.

They either left, eventually saw the errors of their ways and repented.... or got tombstoned.

14. well...
I never supported him, except when he was Gore's running mate.
I have never defended him
I can not really find anything nice to say about him. He's twofaced, a traitor and an enabler of the worst GOP policies to come down the pike, He attacks democrats while trying to pretend he's a democrat, should have been stripped of any positions he had and supports war, limbaugh, McCain, Palin, big Pharma, is against anything that helps the american people...

Sorry, I cannot think of any good reason to say anything nice about the man. it is people like him, that make me also hate the DLC.

something close to one's heart.

People need to own their shit.

grab a frickin' clue. The OP is the one that made the initial claim
did he back it up, darlin'? Why no. And as he first made the claim, it's up to him to provide evidence for it. duh.

20. Predictable non-response. One finds that when one comes across an internet
"bully" all one has to do is call on them and they get all flustered.

Still waiting.
