Buchanan(R)still hasn't left office!
Even though former U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan's official reign ended at midnight Monday, she has been spotted in her office both Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Sure, you might think she's busy packing up her belongings, but apparently, that's not the case. Her shelves are still full, even though empty boxes have been provided.

Her car, complete with vanity plate "MBB" on the front, was in the garage under the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse at 700 Grant St. at 6:45 p.m. yesterday. There haven't been any sightings yet today, though the day is young.

2. Years ago when when I was manager of a dept store...
I had a colossally bad employee. Showed up late, mouthed off to customers, etc.

It was the morning, I called her into the office, told her why and let her go.

I had some paper work to do, so I wasn't able to get back to the floor for about another 45 minutes.

I walk out to the floor, she's still working!

I walk up to here and politely ask what she was doing?

She looked at me, like it was no big deal and said, "I'm working". I smiled asked her to step into the back room and said, "what part of you are fired, don't you understand?"

She thought I was kidding.

I stood there for a moment realizing that I might not be dealing with a well balanced person and said, "why do you think that?"

She said, "I don't know, you didn't seem mad".

I paused. "okay, I'm mad. You are fired. now will you please go". I said all of this in a profession and calm demeanor.

A look of complete an utter disbelief crossed her face.

I followed, "do I need to list the reasons again?"

She turned red, got her stuff and left.

Some people just don't get it.
