I hate when guests call into radio shows on cell phones

I'm trying to listen to Amy Goodman on Thom Hartmann right now and it's practically unlistenable, she's breaking up so much.

It's bad enough when callers do it, but at least the host can say "you're breaking up" and cut it off.

But when guests do it, it really is annoying. Just get over to a landline, damn it. It's so disrespectful.

1. She is probably using Skype so that she can be seen on Hartmann's vid

His show is simulcast on Free Speech TV, and his guests often call in on Skype so that they can be seen in the video. Yes, it is an imperfect system.

The echo makes me want to puncture my ears with icepicks.

And I don't get it at all. I only use speakerphones when I have to (doing a webex, for example), never by choice.
