No word on whether his Mexican in-laws and his four Hispanic children are going on the vacation. Oh, and while "border control" is SO important to him, he has completely missed that MARRIAGE is a super-highway to U.S. Citizenship and INFUSING all that Mexican blood into the pristine American bloodstream!1 And the Oldest-Person-Named-"Cindy" keeps mentioning his wife without noting the irony of ...oh, nevermind...

"...knows considerable..." Uh, poor English grammar!1 "Considerable," an adjective, is being noun-ified!1

From left to right, that's Senora Debi Lee Segura DOBBS and her parents:

Dobbs has offers to consider

By CINDY ADAMS

Lou Dobbs, having taken time off from his CNN contract, is now taking time off. He, the missus and their many thoughts to sift through are heading south. Said Lou:

"West Palm Beach. To relax and breathe deeply. Also to assess my next step.

"My wife has great instincts. She's intuitive and knows considerable about business. We're together nearly 30 years, and I value her opinion. I was very straightforward when I told her my feelings and impressions about the growing unhappiness at my network. She was aware of the constraints in the CNN relationship. The decision to leave was not made without talking to her. She knew as soon as I did what I was going to do. We had many discussions about it." ....

And how do Mr. and Mrs. Dobbs both feel at this moment?

"My wife is a bit disoriented. After the show I used to get home around 9. Now, finishing my afternoon WOR broadcast and suddenly arriving at our front door at 6:30 makes a real difference. Yesterday I went through the Lincoln Tunnel (Chateau Dobbs is in New Jersey) at such an early hour, I couldn't believe it. I showed up for dinner at a very sensible time. I guess it'll work because she didn't throw me out. ....

"Not like I had a sudden epiphany. It was a slow realization. It took a couple of months for me to come to terms and make the final decision to leave. Management asked me to constrain my opinions, and I tried to be accommodating, but over the past three, four months I understood this wouldn't work for me. Issues exist -- education, outsourcing, border control, the middle class -- that I feel intensely about. The inability to express myself left me defenseless against critics and detractors, and that's not a good feeling. ....

.... He is married to his second wife, Debi Lee Segura, an American who was born in Mexico, and one-time CNN sports anchor. Together, the couple has four children. ....

1. They'll be in Limpball country. I wonder if he'll let foreigners in his mansion.
They might soil the place, or stink it up or something. (If that's even possible, considering the current owner.)

Do they even allow Mexican people on Palm Beach? What if they aren't wearing a maid's outfit?
