Jesus' General: The One True Cure for Breast Cancer

Rev. Flip Benham
Operation Save America

Dear Rev. Benham,

Your expose on the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was very enlightening. I particularly enjoyed the part where you took them to task for failing to support the one true cure for breast cancer (scroll down):

But it (Susan G. Komen Foundation) will fight to the death those who would dare expose the real cure for breast cancer – child bearing! “But women will be saved through childbearing – if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.” 1 Timothy 2:15.

Have you thought about leading an effort to include a compelled childbirth provision in the preventive care portion of the health care bill? If not, you should.

The provision should require wives to become pregnant in their first year of marriage. Additionally, not-men who stubbornly cling to spinsterhood into their mid-twenties could be drafted into a handmaid corps to receive the health benefits of childbirth by providing children to barren families.

Very little tax money would be needed to fund the handmaid corps. Fines levied against those wives who stubbornly resist conception in that first year should pay for most of it. The rest could be paid by the husbands who receive handmaids. I bet Sen. Vitter would sponsor that part of the bill.

I'd like to get together with you soon to go over our strategy.

Heterosexually yours,

Gen. JC Christian, patriot

6. You are aware that this is satire?
The General mocks the religious nuts. I believe this is just his version of how they might interpret the studies that show that show that women who have children over the age of 40 are at higher risk of developing breast cancer.

4. Grandmother had 5 daughters and still got breast cancer.
I'm sure she's not the only one.

So even if the idea were not laughable or monsterous (depending on how serious this proposal is), it has no factual basis.

7. Believe it or not there was a study done on this many years ago.
I do not remember the exact data, and unfortunately I am busy at work and cannot do the research right now, but I believe the study showed that childbirth only had an effect on breast cancer incidence if it occurred when a girl first began menstruation. So late tween to early teenage years.

Pretty vile for so called "Christians".

9. But, you see, those young girls need the sacred attention of
the True Christinas™ shortly after the menarche. It's gawd's plan to have the elders impregnate them as soon as possible, to protect them from breast cancer, since that spoils their looks and disgusts the elders. They've been righteously dividing the scriptures, then putting them back together the way they should have been from the beginning.

Get with the program!

12. What cracks me up is that Komen for the Cure is such a rightwing organization
(its founder, Nancy Brinker, is a Bush Pioneer), yet now it has to deal with attacks from the extreme rightwing nutjobs because it refuses their insistence that it have nothing to do with the eeeeevul Planned Parenthood. It also refuses to help them perpetuate the myth that abortions cause breast cancer. Awwww! Too bad!!!!

Don't you love it when Republicans eat their own?
