Best question of the day...Why shouldn't we measure you by the same standards
you measured the fired US Attys.

BOOM SHAKA LAKA SHAKA LAKA.

Basically Gonzo said he made mistakes and screwed up...yet he's firing people cuz he said they had bad performance.

Best question...so far

3. He pretends to be the son of the owner of the business.
A situation where you can pass judgment on all the poor bastards that work there, yet are immune to all criticism.

4. I enjoyed that one as well.
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Even doing that, Gonzales sounds like a child who's been caught misbehaving. It's embarrassing.

8. Yeah, and then when you bust them with the logic they get the deer-in-the-headlights
look.

It was beautiful. I think Gonzo is a gonner.

6. not only firing for bad performance........
...but in his statements today he said he fired them without even reviewing their performance!!

That's pretty bad.......to fire someone for performance based issues without even knowing for sure what their performance was!!!

7. I also liked Leahy's question about all the many conflicting and varied
statements mr. "torture's okay" gave about this one issue. "Which one of these is the accurate one?" DAMN, but I LOVE Patrick Leahy! Even more than I thought I already do.

19. One faboo Leahy moment for me
was when he tells Gonzo, "I sent you a letter about this specific topic; so you really shouldn't be so surprised."

Also, DiFi was great -- and hats off to Sheldon Whitehouse!

18. Think about the entire convoluted mess of lies he's trying to keep straight
It would take a genius to keep all that straight - and there probably isn't a good enough liar on the planet to make it plausible.

Oh what a tangled web we weave
When first we practice to deceive.

15. Wow - I had to go out this afternoon and I missed it.
I'm awaiting the repeat now on C-span, although I'm intrigued with watching Murtha in the House discussing the Iraq War. He's daring the President to call for a draft! WooHoo.

16. Besides yours I have a few
1
If some attorneys were terminated because they failed to combat voter fraud, why weren’t any terminated for failing to prosecute voter suppression?

2
How can Americans have faith in the ability of the Justice Department to defend the rule of law impartially and professionally when all of its employees are hired or fired for their politics?

3
What does prosecutorial discretion mean to you?

4
was it prudent to ask seven United States attorneys in December to resign where there have never been allegations of misconduct?
