Dana Perino appointed to Broadcast Board
This must be more of that 17-dimensional chess we hear so much about. It's over my head. It was done at the request of Mitch McConnell, who's been sooo helpful in the Senate.

Former press secretary to President George W. Bush Dana Perino was appointed as a member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) Wednesday evening. The board governs all government sponsored, non-military international broadcasting outlets, such as Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, and Alhurra. The BBG is a nine member, bipartisan panel.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) urged the Obama administration to appoint Perino.

and if anything, she was more revolting as her casual self. A better spoken, more focused Sarah.

charter. Nothing story.

13. This is a pattern with Mitch
There is a tradition of accepting the Senate Minority leaders picks for Bi-Partisan boards.....Mitch is finding the most offensive picks he can find. A month ago, Mitch picked a pro-privatization thug from the Bush admin for Social Security.

Obama should really consider rejecting one of these picks, particularly since there has been a hold-up on administration nominees. A little hard ball would be interesting.
