Unlikely animal friends: the orangutan and the hound

When Surya the orangutan meets a lonely hound dog out by the river, the two greet each other like long lost pals. Now, Surya and Roscoe like doing anything they can together, even if it's just lounging around and sharing a hug.

That made my day! I used to work in a primate facility, taking care of a baby gibbon who had been abandoned by her mother. She tolerated the dogs, but loved her human friends. She's all grown up now, happy and healthy, after a very rough start. I was fortunate to have been part of her life. Best job I ever had!
