Wow. True believers. truly delusional.

What I love about Sarah Palin is that she is an actual American, instead of a career pol. Her story is the story of America - rugged individualism, roll-up-your-sleeves, git-r-dun. She walks the pro-life walk. Her husband is a man. She’s a hunter. She took on her own party because of its corruption. She achieved huge success and popularity in the last remaining frontier state. She talks straight. She loves this country and what it stands for. Her charisma is tremendous. She’s a Christian. She’s a conservative. She does not come across as cynical, dark, troubled or any other post-modern adjective. She is a living reminder of American exceptionalism.

She reminds me of two of my favorite presidents, Theodore Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan. Roosevelt was born to eastern privilege, but remade himself as a western frontiersman. Reagan was an actor who somehow managed to preserve the values of his small-town America upbringing. Palin is like them. She inspires confidence and optimism, rather than fear and dependence.

Whatever she lacks in knowledge and experience can be obtained through effort. What she already has - in terms of character, principle, outlook and fortitude - will carry her, and America, forward to a bright future.

he only reason I voted in the 2008 election was because of Sarah Palin.

Same here, and I'll bet that you gave her your vote for the same reasons that millions of us did.

Sarah Palin represents what's best in the American culture and psyche. She draws her guidance from the deep well of traditional American solutions to life, including our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, our pioneering history, and our system of free enterprise.

Sarah agrees wholeheartedly with the conservative line of thought and living, because like us, she's observed that it works, and does so better than any other way of doing business.

I understand what you're saying about Arizona's slide from a very conservative/libertarian state, to a purplish, more liberal state. We're seeing the same erosion of well-managed states around the country as they're invaded by liberals from failed blue states. In fact, we can even see that this has happened to the US as a whole.

Sarah Palin is an important player in the crusade to slow this mad rush to Socialism down, and to eventually reverse it. Our movement has unbridled passion at the moment, but is without a commanding captain.

It's my personal opinion that Sarah Palin is the one person who has the correct qualities and ingredients in her person to assume that duty, and to be successful at it.

What should be obvious to all but the most willfully close-minded, is that Sarah Palin has already been anointed by acclamation as the titular leader of the right-conservative revolution in this country. I predict that if she is not elected President in 2012, that there will be open rebellion in America, as a result. We are in far too dangerous a condition to entrust the office of President to anyone but someone of her exemplary character.

I'm not interested in arguing with others about Sarah's "gravitas", or foreign policy experience. As far as I'm concerned, she's shown me that she understands American basics to a better degree than nearly every politician in Washington today.

Sarah lives and breathes conservative American principles like most other politicians live and breathe corruption and spin. She thinks like we the people do, and she's not afraid to stand up and tell it exactly like it is.

If she keeps doing that, she will be the 45th President of The United States. It's what the people want, and it's what we need, to survive the ravages of the current radical left.

She worked her way up, through wanting to effect change in her town, cities and state, and America. Through defeat and winning. She has the grit, intelligence and charisma to continue onward and upward. She’s been pummeled, viciously, and the beauty is rising from the ashes, now (and that is not a reference to her looks).

She removed herself from a previous office, so she could effect change, and no I’m not referring to her governorship. She never quit, but she did remove herself as Governor, so she could work from the outside, because as Governor her office was paralyzed, frozen in ethics complaints, doing their intended job of paralyzing her office. She’s one smart cookie, and has been vastly underestimated. And to the best of her ability she follows her moral compass, the laws and the Constitution, she’s honest. And maybe the biggest thing of all, she’s not mired in the corruption of Washington elites. If she does run for President, I don’t think it’s because she would get to jet around the world, I think it’s because of her passion and love of our Country, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The most educated Presidents are the worst. The best Presidents tend to be easy to understand and with work withconviction: they know what is right and wrong.

Give me Sarah any day of the week over nuanced messages.

1. So, in short, Freepers love them some stupid. They relate to the ignorance that is Sarah Palin.
That makes sense.

6. You got it. They have also swallowed the American myth hook, line and sinker.
You know, the idea that the backbone of this country is pioneers who never asked anyone else for help, but who quested their way westward conquering the land, all on their own, because of their own exceptional self-reliance and good common sense.

Of course, this is entirely bullshit, nonsense and window dressing. Pioneers relied heavily on each other to survive; they had to. They were among the biggest proponents of community living and helping their fellow man.

They buy the myth of Sarah Palin the same way they bought the myth that Reagan retained his small-town values (he didn't) and that John Wayne really was the tough, rugged, individualist and loyal family man he played in the movies (he wasn't). She is a fantasy, a movie character they think is real.

13. Stupid is non-threatening to Stupid...& realistically, Stupid tends to be resentful of Intelligent
... or, to frame it another way, immoral tends to find the moral contemptible, and so will denounce a moral position as being the opposite of what it actually is and represents, while the the immoral quickly adopt the surface trappings & rhetoric of the moral they simultaneously disavow.

The real problem with this is that for people who don't spend any time focusing on such matters, or, for those deeply entrenched in the 'game' of it, one isn't discernible from the other. The whole system is accepted and perpetuated since for so many, there's scant difference between parody and authenticity.

How'd that work out for us? :eyes:

Unbelievable that education is viewed so poorly. I consider myself an "actual American" also, but I sure as hell couldn' be President of the United States! Maybe the PTA!

9. bwahaha, her "office" as governor "was paralyzed, frozen in ethics complaints"
the same way fossils and carbon dating evidence are dismissed as "tricks by the devil," so too are ethics complaints dismissed as filed by those "doing their intended job of paralyzing her office"--they have diddly squat to do with Sarah's ethics!

a grifter will never be without gullible hicks to exploit. they actually think she's "honest" and in it because she cares about them and because of "love of our Country."

sheesh, doofusses.

actually, reading that tripe again, I'm starting to wonder--which one of you wrote it? it is too inane, too totally lacking in insight, to be real.

10. You betcha!
I want a President whose spouse is a member of a secessionist, anti-America organization.

I want a President that can't name one newspaper or magazine that she reads.

I want a President that thinks an entire continent of many countries is actually only one country.

I want a President that thinks jingoistic soundbites equates to foreign policy statements.

I want a President that quit a job as Governor of one of the least populous states in the Union.

I want a President that engages in quid pro quo with contractors and benefits personally with the construction of their own home.

I want a President that fires state workers for failing to terrorize people who disagree with them.

I want a President that thinks the Earth is less than 7,000 years old.

I want a President that wants to teach the story of Genesis from the bible in science class in public schools.

I want a President who associates with preachers that clamor for more terror attacks against this nation.

I want a President that gets someone else to write a book for them and fills it with already debunked lies and has to go on a national book tour to prompt sales even when opening day prices for the hardback version are at fire-sale prices.

I want a President that is a true narcissist.

I want a President that represents the essence of a dumbed-down, brain-washed America that fights against critical thinking.

11. Remember, these are the same people who got fooled into voting for W.
Their political choices are why this country is quickly falling into 2nd world status. They obviously haven't figured it out yet. Palin was the a textbook socialist governor of Alaska, shaking down Big Oil for billions that directly benefited the taxpayers. That's a good thing...but it's terrible at the national level? I love how they apologize for Sarah's quitting as Governor...somehow that's a positive for them.

How stoopit do you have to be to poster at FR? A sad collection of rubes who are taken in by a wink and a "you betcha".
