IL Rep.. Manzullo--Opposes Prison Siting--Insults Islam

Senator Manzullo is a real loser for Illinois. There's a good chance that a new, almost empty, expensive state prison in Thompson, IL, could be bought by the federal government to be used, among other things, as a place for the Gitmo prisoners.

Senator Manzullo is trying to block it. This, despite the fact that his district in Northwestern Illinois is severely depressed, with little hope for relief.

Adding insult to injury, he also called Islam "a savage religion." He's trying to back out of that remark now.

Time for a change.
