mika is hyperventilating over ms moose
nora and mika are telling us how 'sarah feels'

why people 'connect' with her

people 'like her'

she's the 'anti-politician'

they will support her 'to the very end'

she's a HUGH factor in any republican primary

if any politicians 'dismiss sarah' uh-oh

1. I sure hope she gets the nomination.
Obviously, she'd be easy to beat. But even if we don't, she's in there, what, a year and a half, tops?

3. they have also been very open about Sarah's unpopularity in the polls
about how most feel she is unqualified.

She also mentioned her consistent criticism of palin.

There are a group of fervant fans - that should not be ignored. Look at that line outside the bookstore - for a 6:00 pm appearance. Those are loyal fans. Why not describe them - they exist.

5. mika has been critical-lite of ms palin...a major supporter..as far as the fans
they could have interviewed a few...asked THEM why they are there instead of 'describing' them...poor reporting imho

6. she has been legitimately critical of sarah
why give those nuts a stage - recognize they exist - don't give them the mic.

17. I don't know about "lite". I've watched Morning Joe the last few days
through the full 6 to 7 a.m. hour and I haven't heard Mika say anything remotely supportive of Palin this week.

She did say in response to an e-mail from a Palin supporter that at one time she did support Palin but that she had long felt since then that Palin did not have what was needed to be President.

I would hardly call that damning with faint praise.

I know Morning Joe has the amazing ability to switch POV's with the slightest breeze but this week's shows have not been kind to Palin in the slightest.

10. Professional wrestling fans are loyal.
Sarah is like a train wreck - horrible to behold but you just can't bring yourself to look away.

But hey, we need someone to entertain us between Orly Taitz episodes and Sarah does not disappoint.

13. Sometimes there's just no accounting for peoples' beliefs.
But it is indeed an ill wind that blows and brings nothing good with it. Here, join me in enjoying Sarah's book reviews that are just now starting to come in:

Is that really how Americans think?
By DanielM "DanielM" (Oslo)

I bought the book based thinking I would just have a laugh at what she writes about who to blame for the bad (for her) result of the election, but I'm actually horrified after reading it. Is that really how Americans (ok, lets say 40%) think? I'm really sorry to say this but around 50% of what she is writing is either stone-age theory (oh my god, is she serious about the "I don't believe in evolution"-stuff??? really??) or just downright dumb. Somebody here in the reviews commented on how she is so clever when it comes to energy, and I cannot believe anybody would actually believe that. She is writing how the drilling of offshore fields would make everything better, how does that in any way show expertise in the field of energy? It's just downright ignorant.

I have to say that this book really scares me. If 40odd percent of American believe that she is right to be number two in office the world has big problems. The US is still one of the (if not THE) most important countries in the world, and if people are actually agreeing with what she is writing in the book I truly believe we will have a problem.

Jeeez, how incredibly stupid can someone be, I really didn't expect to be that angry after reading it...

***

Full of lies and deceit
By D. G. Rosenthal (Washington DC)

The worst part of Going Rogue is that very little in the book is factually accurate. She repeats the same old debunked lies and spin about how she was "forced" to spend hundreds of thousands of campaign funds on designer clothing; how the "gotcha" media really is part of a conspiracy to make her look bad. Ho-hum. We've heard it all before, and the voters decided they weren't buying it then.

Amazingly, no matter whether you are a republican or democrat, there is reason to dislike the book. Who would want to read something "written" (and I use that term loosely, as Palin obviously didn't write the majority of this herself) by someone who can't name a newspaper they've ever read?

The sheer level of disrespect Going Rogue has for its readership is astounding. It, like the author, assumes that Americans are idiots, too dumb to see through the lies and spin, and that they'll believe whatever Palin is selling. Ironically, this is the same error that cost the McCain/Palin campaign the election. Maybe, for that, it's worth it -- as an insight to the psyche that hasn't learned from the past mistakes.

15. then there are these
"The book also fails to expose Mrs. Palin's intellectual brilliance and keen grasp of foreign policy issues."

"This is one of the best book ever written. I will keep it on my nightstand with The Bible, which was written by God, the original mavrick."

"...it is refreshing and exciting to see a intelligent, honest, pro-American, successful female Governor with character and executive experience put forth a truthful biography."

"I knew that Sarah Palin was smart, beautiful and a patriot. That is why the left cannot bear her and has devoted itself, tooth and claw to her destruction. What I didn't know is how very right the left is to fear her and how hard we must fight to protect her. She is very smart and she knows, to the tips of her fingers, what it is to be an American and what must be done to preserve us from those who would do us harm."

"The book is a great insite to the making of a Vice President canidate." <the lack of spelling ability among the RW is just astounding>

"Sure she may not be the smartest person in the world, no one is . . " <huh????????? Also lacking in cognitive abilities, obviously>

******************************************************

It is interesting that in reading all of the reviews, several are repeats. They, of course, are the 5-star rated ones. They just can't help themselves - they just must cheat is some way.

16. I think a couple of those are fakes.
To wit:

"The book also fails to expose Mrs. Palin's intellectual brilliance and keen grasp of foreign policy issues."

"This is one of the best book ever written. I will keep it on my nightstand with The Bible, which was written by God, the original mavrick."

Those two look like liberals making a point, to me.

25. "Sarah Palin for President in 2010!!!"
I'm surprised you missed that gem. It was contributed by the guy who can't spell maverick.

I'm pretty sure the 'intellectual brilliance' thing was sarcasm. I saw it before but I can't find it now. The Palinites are sure whining about all contributions they deem less than supportive, so maybe Amazon.com administrators are deleting some reviews.

20. During the campaign, however, Mika gave Palin a lot of
credibility. As a "journalist", Mika didn't do her job. The tough questions weren't asked. Mika spoke glowingly of Palin's popularity and her "energy". Yet, we didn't hear any pointed questions from Mika about Palin's honesty, knowledge, critical thinking, or integrity. Mika was a cheerleader, not a journalist, during the campaign.

23. Remember when Mika styled her hair in the Sarah "do"? Heh.
Someone should post a pic of her with it...it lasted several months and then suddenly disappeared...guess that was after the Couric interview when Mika realized she had really stepped in it...

24. cheerleader? perhaps not.
"This morning on RNC Joe, Mika Brzinski said that whereas Sarah Palin was able to hold her own reading from her notes in her basement-low expectations VP Debate, she has floundered with unrehearsed interviews, citng the Gibson and Couric interviews. One of her guests agreed saying: "Can you imagine if McCain is elected President and dies three months into his term, do you really think that Sarah Palin is qualified to steer the economy and guide the direction of the country?" Mika said: "No". "

26. I agree. This morning Mika didn't have her pom-poms out
But she frequently was leading the pep squad for Palin during the campaign. I watched Morning Joe every morning - mostly for Lawrence O'Donnell and Harold Ford. Mika was enthralled with the Palin Personality. She was fascinated with Palin as phenom. Meanwhile, she didn't bother to even ask the mild-mannered Couric like questions of the other Palin admirers. We were just supposed to accept Palin as qualified due to her elevation by McCain. Her family! Her home state! Her "freshness". Her working mom persona. Oh, yes, Mika, like McCain, has a lot to answer for with the promotion of a woman who is barely qualified to be a city council person. Much less a heartbeat away from the presidency.

14. Hows come nobody is suggesting a Palin/Prejean ticket for 2012?
Seems to me the former beauty queen and the present porn queen would be the perfect "good-looking Republican candidates" photo-op team.

Pairing the Self-Righteous Sacred and the Repentant Profane would be a natural combination for the Puglies, wouldn't it? --

7. You can take the trash out of the trailer
but you can't take the trailer out of the trash.

Ignorance has become a plus and intelligence a definite liability.

And it REALLY helps if you don't understand how stupid you are.

Nevertheless I believe Palin will step on her hoohah big time before she gets too far in her quest. She can't live without the drama and it will come back to bite her in the ass.

And looks fade. Time runs out on aging beauty queens when that's their only stock in trade.

18. I'm positive that if Palin looked like Eleanor Roosevelt that we would never have heard of her
Edited on Wed Nov-18-09 12:26 PM by Mike Daniels
Palin's nomination was a cynical ploy that relied on the belief that women would vote for the "gender" and men would vote with their lower brains.

Thank God that thinking ended up being wrong.

28. No. It's really all she has. And there are a lot of lonely, old
white men who think Sarah is their girlfriend. Really. Billions of dollars are made every year in this country on industries which feed off of loneliness and lust. Palin is just another example. She's the 1-900 number for horny old racists.
