TMZ reports that Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) recently suggested that former beauty pageant contestant Carrie Prejean would be a serious contender for public office:

Elections are a lot like beauty pageants. "Vote for me, and I'll let you all watch me..." it's an easy to keep campaign promise. Then you'd have policy by committee, the Continuity of Government guys would take over.
