Will the NYC trial of KSM re-stoke 9/11 fever as well as demonstrate America's acceptance of torture
in this situation? Seems it might become a be-careful-what-you-wish-for dealie bobber.

1. "9/11 fever"?

Do you really have to buy all the crap Republicans are selling?

On edit: So bloody what if the judge shuts down the torture discussion? It's grounds for an appeal, isn't it? This puts the torture question into our court system. Where reasoned opinion will decide it and not your freaking hysteria.

2. It's quelled. This will bring it all back. That's obvious.

6. Yah.
Well, a city that has survived the worst is not like other cities. Ask San Francisco. Ask Chicago. Ask New Orleans.

We don't yell THE SKY IS FALLING! It fell. We're the ones who lived. If it falls again, we'll do what we did the last time. We helped each other. We survived. There really isn't a lot of time to spend on hysteria.

Only people from places that weren't attacked are making a fuss. We have no problem with holding the trials in the rooms where the toxic dust of the dead was piled high. They've all been cleaned.

7. Ummm, probably not.
If we were being true to our own principles, the torture would throw those cases out. They would walk out free, time served. I think we're all pretty sure that won't happen. Which is wrong, because it's a political and not justice decision.

Justice gets hinky with this stuff. I wish we had brought them straight to trial instead of tainting the process.
