Edited on Tue Nov-17-09 02:53 AM by DFW
I just got a mass mailing from Borders in the States offering me the book at 40% off.

I think I'll wait until January. By next month, it'll be 80% off, and after the New Year,
Borders will probably be offering me $2.50 to take a copy off their hands. Who would turn
down free toilet paper?

*on edit--I saw that someone else had already though of this most efficient use for their free copy.
Not the most difficult solution to come up with I suppose.....

1. That's what these right wing "authors" have to do to "sell" books....
they either give them away free via subscriptions to newsletters or they have to price them so low that it might as well be free.

2. Yeah, I don't remember where I saw it, but someone was selling it for $4.50.
But Sarah can sell it so cheap because she spent nothing on fact-checking. Facts take so much longer to explain than just saying stuff.

8. SMU is right down the street from my house in Dallas
I have yet to set foot on the campus or watch any of their sports events.

4. I don't know if you've ever used book paper on your butt . . .
I don't recommend it. No absorbancy and highly resistant to the preferred "crunch" gesture before application.

7. The Germans have a great expression for that
"Geschenkt ist noch zu teuer."

(for free is still too expensive)

It will provide wealth for some though: comedians will find a gold mine in this.

Murdoch/Newsmaxx takes the bulk copies they bought (to boost it to the top of the "New York Times Book Review" list) and puts them into the local thrift stores ...
