***ALERT*** Hey, apartment dwellers --
especially those who have any windows that are in close proximity to parking areas. Make sure your windows are properly sealed, also that the AC vent closes all the way. Last night a couple of my fellow tenants were letting their cars warm up and the exhaust fumes turned my living room air damned near toxic. Cold as it is (at the time it was 9 degrees outside) I opened windows on the other side of the apartment and turned on a couple of fans; I already use oxygen, and had to ramp it up a bit in order to stop the wooziness and headache. The manager has sent the maintenance man to Home Depot to get the stuff for sealing the windows, and I've already wrapped the AC unit in plastic to eliminate that opening.

At the moment, I'm very thankful that I hadn't nodded off in my recliner like I often do. Scary.

3. If you are worried, buy a Carbon Monoxide detector. They're about $30 at your
local hardware store.

6. Such laws are very difficult to enforce.
People still need to take such precautions as the OP suggests.

9. i concur its a law i would never write a ticket for, seems like major overkill
im not going to stand there freezing my ass off with my stopwatch, and i think it will defeat the purpose if i idle my cruiser whilst i sit there timing you idling. Seems like the dumbest law ever...
