Like the reform movement of the mid 1800s. The reform movement of mid 1800s spawned the suffragettes, the abolition of slavery, and labor unions among other things. It even got people to rethink the idea of women wearing corsets, a practice that was detrimental to women's health. We need a movement whose individual aims might be different but who's members essentially share the same overarching goal and world view. With a lot of cross pollination within the movement. The pillars of which need to be:

1.) Corporations no longer run our lives and no longer influence legislation, corporations need to be rooted out of government, including an end to the current media circus state.
2.) Equal rights for the LGBT community
3.) End to all U.S. wars
4.) Healthcare for all, nobody has to pay for healthcare, period.
5.) A renaissance of the U.S. labor movement
6.) Legalization of marijuana and an end to the prison industrial complex

We need protests, civil disobedience, community meetings, protest movies, music, books, the works. All of us need to do our part.

K&R!
