As Palin's beliefs become known, TWO(2) Things are Happening Simultaneously... LINK
Edited on Mon Nov-16-09 11:18 AM by Blackhatjack
The more Sarah Palin reveals about her beliefs, two things are happening simultaneously. She is adored and loved even more by the conservative fundamentalist far right for espousing their beliefs, and at the same time the moderate Repubs and Independents are polarized against her as a candidate for President AND the Republican Party which continues to treat her as a legitimate nominee for President in 2012.

As with any "not ready for primetime candidate want-a-be", the quickest way to accelerate the crash of ambition is put them in front of cameras and microphones and let them talk.

John McCain and his former campaign staff must be cringing with each new revelation by Palin. But at least now the public will realize what they had to deal with once Palin joined the ticket.

Palin Does Not Believe In Evolution

Edit to fix typo.

1. Yes....
And unfortunately for the GOP, Palin will go "rogue" on you if you even question her motives. It's what she does. She'll whine and cry and call them sexist...say they're coming after her because she's speaking truth.

It'll be fun to watch. IMO, the dems should stay silent. However, interjecting a little info to either side and behind the scenes wouldn't be a bad idea...ya know, stoke the fire a bit.

5. True! I believe Romney is the Choice of Moderate Repubs and some Independents, But...
It is the fact that Palin would share the stage and be treated as a viable candidate for the Repub Presidential Nomination that is shocking to Moderate Repubs and Independents.

It reminds me of the David Duke(KKK) candidacy within the Repub Party which appealed to a lot of the right wing fringe groups inside the Repub Party.

7. Yes, Romney for "moderate" Reps
Edited on Mon Nov-16-09 11:34 AM by get the red out
But there are basically no moderate Reps in the south, which is the Republican stronghold of the country. The battle between the Republicans in the North, who may have a shred of sanity, and the fire breating theocrats of the South in love with Palin could get interesting. The primaries could become explosive.

3. Palin is an idiot and an embarrassment and I curse McCain for choosing her
Edited on Mon Nov-16-09 11:05 AM by RainDog
by doing that, he unleashed an abomination upon this nation.

but he also showed that it is stupid to ever support a "moderate republican" because they are in league with the stupidest people in this nation who have no business anywhere near the levers of power.

of course, Kristol, et al, just wanted to be Cardinal Richleau for the idiot Sarah. That's what a low-down scummy dog that man is.

4. She is kinda whiny, you bet
The question, and it's still open (I've seen reportage both ways), is whether the victim schtick will play with the popular media. I think it was Mitch McConnell over the weekend who pronounced himself thrilled by the prospect of a Palin candidacy in 2012. Republican party leadership isn't anxious to get themselves in trouble with the nutjob base with which Mrs. Palin is so popular. Either that, or Mr. McConnell has been frequenting a few too many Kentucky moonshine stills.

6. Palin's ambition is not dampened by her total ineptness for the job....
These are the most dangerous people to hand power-- the ones who intend to take action of some kind without a clue as to what kind of action should be instituted.

Her inability to string together two complete sentences gives remarkable insight into the stream of consciousness that occupies her head.

In Palin's case, its not what she thinks she knows that is wrong, but rather what she does not know that is so dangerous.

9. There is one thing that bothers me about Palin and the Tea Party
and that is if you recall when W was running he appeared to be rather intellectually handicapped. When he could string a full sentence together people said, well, he's not as bad as we thought. W won.

The mean-spirited Federalist Society part of the Republican Party has a huge opportunity here to appear moderate, reasonable and intelligent by comparison to Palin and her Tea Party friends. I, personally, would not underestimate this strategy, because I'd use it if I were them. It has potential to win.

What happens after the Tea Party in Alice in Wonderland?
