Cheney/Palin 2012... Best. Ticket. Ever!
:applause:

Consider the following:

Cheney is down right hated - his poll numbers were there to make George Bush's look GOOD in the closing days of the Bush administrations - running around 19%. He's got a reputation as Darth VADER for chrissake.

Palin is a certifiable loon and people are genuinely scared of her and also has crappy poll numbers.

If the voters were worried about John McCain dying in office and leaving us with President Palin, imagine how scared undecided voters would be of a President Cheney having his 5th heart attack?

Now consider the electoral math:

Cheney + Palin = SIX count them that's 3(AK) + 3(WY) = a grand total of 6 electoral votes from their home states (assuming they could still win them...) You LITERALLY can't do worse than that! At least W anchored the GOP ticket from TEXAS so they had 32 EV's to start with.

I think we all ought to do whatever we can to be able to make sure we are facing off against this Republican "dream team" in 2012...

CHENEY/PALIN 2012! (Suggested slogan: Guaranteeing the future of the Democratic Party!)

1. Palin - Bachmann 2012
And, we can hear the Freepers whine about sexism when 65% of the country votes for Obama-Biden in 2012.

2. Yeah but the electoral math is better with Bachman (MN=8) and she isn't as widely known
as Cheney so she still has a chance to "redo" her public image during a Presidential campaign. Cheney's Darth Vader image is set in carbonite.

3. I think for anyone who believes that **-Cheney rigged '00 and '04, they dread a Cheney run.

14. Not me. I know they rigged 00 and strongly suspect 04 as well, but know he'd lose
But seriously is there anyone who believes 2000 was an honest election?

8. Ms Prejean won't meet the constitutional age requirement until 2024
Edited on Sun Nov-15-09 09:52 PM by Jack Rabbit
Which means there's only one thing to do (this is a real Republican solution) . . .

TAITZ - PREJEAN
in
2012

Neither one would be constitutionally qualified, but IOKIYAR.

After all, Republicans strategists can make up as many reasons why they would be qualified as they can make up that President Obama isn't.

9. Either way - Taitz/Prejean or Palin/Prejean would be a field day for SNL!

6. Except if they "win"...
The movie "2012" would be the best-case scenario.

10. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
And they seem to have gotten both stupider and more strident in the past 53 weeks.

11. I just don't think their numbers are actually all that large - especially for a Cheney/Palin ticket.

I would be scared of the following three Republicans in 2012:

Charlie Crist (governor of FL now running for Senate) - if he wins the Florida Senate seat.

Mike Huckabee - he's gotten a fair amount of name recognition on Fox and he is portrayed as the GOP's populist answer to John Edwards.

Joe Scarborough - he comes across as moderate and he's extremely polished on air because he's had so much practice.

12. They don't have to be large
They just have to be enough to get close to a majority of the voting electorate. Considering how much negative campaigning depresses liberal and independent voters, and how skilled they are at voter purging... Hell, I could do a decent job of voter purging thanks to the Census Bureau's online mapping database!

Actually they don't even need that. They need to squeak out a victory in enough states to get 270 electoral votes... they can tank in the rest. Win about 20 or so strategic states with a bare majority and you've got it.

13. I love it. Actually, the only better team would be to convince Colbert to run as a Republican
And to be honest, I'd consider it! LOL.

Seriously though, would it not be hi-freakin-larious? Colbert/Palin 2012?
