3. Good article by Max Blumenthal
who spent quite a while up here last summer getting to "know" Sarah through our local bloggers who have been watching her for a while. His insights are pretty accurate.

5. Blumenthal makes a very good point that when you attack Palin, her followers vicariously

and personally take on that attack. I call it The Princess Diana mentality. Diana's death was sad, and there was a certain segment of women who felt it (IMO) a little too personally, as though they were living their lives through The Princess and blamed anyone who had criticized her, leading to her demise.

Some of Palin's teabagging conservative supporters have unwed teen children with children and many can identify with her "spunkiness" taking on town hall to the White House. They get a kick out of her. Calling Palin white trash is calling them white trash.
