How long can you go without a meal?
Edited on Sun Nov-15-09 02:43 PM by Cyrano
There's a rule of thumb that says you can go three minutes without air, three days without water, and three weeks without food before you die.

So, Mr. President, how long are the unemployed supposed to wait before they get some help. The air is there. The water is there. But the food is the problem.

You've helped Wall Street. You've helped the banks. You've helped those who really don't need that much help.

When are you going to help those who are doing anything and everything possible to avoid week three for their families?

2. Pass meal mandate. Force main provider of family to feed their progeny at least once a day.
Failure to comply will result in jail time. Perfect solution.

it's been everything Alex Jones say's about the New World Order ,and president Obama seems to work toward it as opposed to against it.He hasn't done one concrete thing to assure us our country is recuperating from the Bush years.

Edited on Sun Nov-15-09 08:15 PM by JoeyT
The problem is he and his followers are conspiracy theorists. As such they take refutations to be proof of the conspiracy that was refuted. There is no proof they will accept. None.

If you're actually interested in seeing the man refuted, JREF flat out hammered him. (James Randi Educational Foundation)

Those who are asnine are called on their nonsense. Obama is merely praised. He's the darling of Wall Street, and he is about to be the darling of the military too.

So someone 45 pounds overweight is carrying around a 90 day food supply.

49. No, each pound is 3500 calories, and a person can survive on 1750 per day
Basal metabolism is below that for most people.

Actually, you would probably need to consume about 900 / day in food, in order to get the necessary proteins, essential fats, vitamins, etc in order not to loose too much muscle tissue or suffer from deficiency diseases.

But in that case you could last about half a year with no ill effects other than losing the 45 pounds.

If Obama and his cabinet are smart, they will count a diversity and breadth of experience within the membership. People that know about employment, the production economy, economic theory (and no, sorry, not just Keynesian theory)small business owners etc. not just like minded attorneys and government employees.

with a substantial increase in food stamps funding. Also the stimulus had some spending on child nutrition programs.

Also he just signed an extension to unemployment benefits.

41. So I guess everything is just fine now.
Check out what FDR did during the Great Depression.

Aside from Wall Street and bankers, far too many Americans are experiencing what this country went through in the 1930s.

I believe that Obama is well intentioned, but he's doing far too little. Even though far too many will admit it, our country is in an economic disaster. And we need far more government help.
