LOL! "Pelicans"?!?!?! :
Edited on Sun Nov-15-09 03:04 PM by rvablue
This is a reader comment from Politico. It is too good, just had to share:

Ben loves tough minded female politicians. If Sarah was a Democrat, h would love her even more than he loves Hillary because Sarah is far more charismatic and interesting. Sarah gets attention because she is different: she isn’t a robotic politician. She is a soccer mom turned pelicans that wants to remain a soccer mom, talk like a soccer mom, and act like a soccer mom. Washington intellectual just can't respect that. They believe viable pelicans should be more serious and educated...Totally forgotten that all a president needs to do is make the right decision after being presented various options by his advisers. A soccer mom can make as good of a decision as a Yale graduate because of common sense. Sarah Palin definitely rocks and if successful will change the political landscape for the average woman of middle America: They won’t fear getting into politics and getting their voices heard. Sarah is their trailblazer the same way Hillary is the trailblazer of the educated feminist liberal. If the unemployment remains high in 2011, kitchen table Sarah could beat Obama.

3. ROFL, that's a freeper keeper!
From here on in I will only refer to pelics (politics) and pelicans (politicians) when posting! Damn, that even beats "infromed", imo.

6. Here's what gets me about freepers
and my sisters are included in this...

They choose a doctor because he or she is knowledgable and competent. They choose a lawyer, auto mechanic, dentist, eye doctor, appliance repairman, and contractor the same reasons. But yet when it comes to governing, they choose someone who is nice, who is "just like them", who is just regular folks instead of choosing the most experienced and competent. That's why they get crappy government -- they chose people who don't have a fucking clue about what they're doing.

9. They love crappy government!
Because it proves their supposition that government is incompetent and justifies cutting taxes since they can't manage the People's money, which leads to more crappy government and more tax cuts, etc., etc. They just love self-fulfilling prophecies because it makes them feel like they have some control over and insight into their own lives.
