Did anyone catch that story at the end of CBS Sunday Morning about Obama at Arlington?
Wow.

I think the reporter's name was James Meek. He was at Arlington on a recent rainy Sunday morning, early. There are three graves there that he visits regularly. He was at one of them when the the President and Mrs President approached with a SS detail around them. No fanfare. Just walking and talking to the people at the graves. No screening. He approached each person in Section 16, where they were and spoke with each about whatever they wished to talk about.

The report ended with an observation. Anyone could have called this a photo op. The reporter said it wasn't. Because he shook hands with, and looked into the face of, the president.

The report really, really touched me.

6. Thank you for a beautiful piece.
I don't believe there is anything that couple can do that won't be terribly twisted and turned into something bad or a "photo-op" by the Repugs.

I find myself becoming more and more cynical of them for what they are doing to this country, and they can choke on their own bile for all I care.

We are so fortunate to have this young family in the WH.

3. I read about this, last week
It was very touching. For me, it is so refreshing and comforting to again have a true man of the people in the White House.
