So, are you ready YET?
Kucinich/Sanders 2012 - because a vote is never "wasted" if the trash can deserves it more than the corporate DLC incumbent.

Kucinich/Sanders 2012 - because I'm ready and willing to be tombstoned for adhering to progressive economic values. Who's with me?

Kucinich/Sanders 2012 - because you know it's right. "Electable" is as the electorate votes. Principles - what a novel concept.

3. I'd hope not... but I guess they might have to.
I'm a Democrat. Kucinich is a Democrat. I think he and I would both like to see real Democrats re-take the Democratic party.

Having actual DEMOCRATS in a Democratic administration would be great. Haven't had them since LBJ, or maybe Carter.

4. Kucinich/Obama 2016
If Dennis doesn't take over for Biden for Health resons etc, anytime really.. Obama should always be on the ticket.

5. I'm ready
If the election were tomorrow, I would not vote for Obama for dogcatcher. I really don't want to wait through 8 long years of DLC bullshit so I hope he either gets his head out of his corporate friendly ass, or he loses and at a later date we can try for "change" once again; this time making real sure we don't get suckered by another good salesman planning another Goldman Sachs administration.

Priority one though is 2010 and letting our party know our voices will be heard or we will stay home.

8. "Won't get fooled againnnnnnn"
Those old farts The Who knew something we didn't in 2008, maybe?

My next vote will be for a Democrat with DEMOCRATIC values, and if that means it is thrown away, congratulations to the trash can.

6. the only reason I would not like this
is because they are legislators and one of my criticisms of the current president is his legislator style and their tendencies to approach problems by committee.
The Executive branch needs leadership desperately, so I would prefer a Democrat governor to run.
Someone like Spitzer would be great.

7. Don't really like either
Too much grand-standing.

I would much prefer a Whitehouse/Wasserman-Schultz ticket.

9. Brilliant plan. Throw away your votes like you all did on Nader.
I'm one of Sanders' long time constituents and biggest supporters, but he won't win the presidency. He won Vermont because we're a liberal paradise and most of us here see eye-to-eye with him. At least Sanders understands the art of diplomacy and negotiation with his fellow Congressmen. Kucinich would be as effective as a stalled car in the passing lane.

Honestly, go join a libertarian group somewhere. You're like a bunch of naive spoiled brats who don't know the difference between a good president such as we currently have, and an abysmal one that we thankfully got rid of. Your 2016 ticket "plan" is an invitation for another republican nightmare.

13. Nader? nah, never voted for him.
Libertarians? Heh, I despise them. Worst people in America, bar none, so I'm not sure where you get that.

I am a progressive. Period. I am not represented by the current administration. Why wouldn't I want an administration that represents me?

As for "another Republican nightmare," what's the difference between that and the centrist nightmare we have now?

12. I would vote for Kucinich in a heartbeat...
and if things keep going like they have been...I think a lot of other people will too.
America needs someone with some Principles.
I like Sanders too.

14. Not a winning ticket, imo
a disaster for Dems, and I personally like both Sanders & Kucinich (Sanders more so than DK). How many times has he run for president, and doesn't that tell you something?

have a frickin' clue about Bernie.

16. Anyone who thinks Dennis Kucinich would accomplish anything he claims to stand for
is smoking something really, really good.

Me? I'm not completely pleased with how things are right now, but I sure am glad to have President Obama to complain and bitch about for not being exactly as I would have him.

17. It's not your vote going into the "trash can" that's the problem.
It's the boost a "wasted" vote can give to someone far worse than the person you idealistically vote for.

If we had Instant Run-Off voting or weighted voting, things could be different. We don't. What you seem to call "principles" is just ignoring the very real social dynamics of a winner-take-all voting. In Florida in 2000, a vote for Nader WAS a vote for Bush. Winner-take-all voting has no reliable mechanism for converting personal intentions and idealism into results.
