My Florida vacation: Observations on FL Radio

I clicked through the radio channels first PM then AM. One major difference in PM channels is how many more Spanish channels on PM I hear. In Portland I don't know if there is even one.

Then switching to AM I noticed perhaps a half dozen conservative talkers. I couldn't find progressive radio unfortunately.

Today I was back on FM and on the the CHRISTIAN STATION, as it turned out. A guy goes on and on, (an apparent expert) about how un-christian it is that we are going to be taking health care away from our neighbors.

So even if what you say is true, (it's not) how CHRISTIAN is it to keep health care from people who can't afford it. No one asked that question.

I was stunned at how shameless these people are.

146, Talk Left, except when that foul loudmouth, Lynn Samuels, is on from 1-3. I can't stand her.

and more than a few Christian stations, too.

5. Do they have Spanish FM stations? I didn't think they did. I rarely listen to the radio. And yes

they do have the FISH but that is it on FM?

and you can't go anywhere in the state without hearing Christian radio.

AND they've taken over the digital spectrum on over the air TV. There's about 5 of them on- often to the exclusion of much of anything else.

4. My XM radio plays jazz, classic radio shows, and progressive talk. Everything else on XM is shit. nt

7. That and the obnoxious DJs is why I no longer listen to the radio..

I have an 8 gig micro SD card in my phone and more tunes than the great majority of stations have on their entire playlist. Record internet radio stations, download podcasts and I've ripped every CD of my own and everyone I know and I also ripped my extensive vinyl collection nearly ten years ago too.
