Why are the Bush goons so terrified of
the trials in New York?

These fuggers thrive on fear mongering.

Former Attorney General Michael Mukasey said the decision to try the alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks in criminal court represented a turn from the Bush administration's war footing to a "Sept. 10, 2001" mentality.

"The plan seems to abandon the view that we are involved in a war," Mr. Mukasey said in remarks to the Federalist Society, a conservative lawyers network meeting at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington.

By bringing the alleged Sept. 11 conspirators to New York, the Obama administration risks making the city "the focus of mischief in the form of murder by adherents of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed," Mr. Mukasey said.

In addition, he said that trying the defendants in federal court risks disclosure of intelligence secrets.

"I can't see anything good coming out" of Attorney General Eric Holder's decision, Mr. Mukasey said.

1. Torture
Will be used for the defense of these killers. And maybe it will come out that Bush ordered torture. Thats what they are afraid of.

2. I think it's way more than that
The trials will not be held in secret and people will find out the truth about the Bushco war criminals.

3. A country did not attack us. 9/11 was an act vandalism and should have been treated as such.
That is why they need to be tried in a civilian court and not a military court.
If "state secrets" are exposed, too bad. Actually that would be good. Then maybe we will deal with our own home grown terrorists in our own government.

When you stop to think about it, just what could these 'terrorists' know that our government doesn't want you to know? How could they know anything?
If the conventional wisdom of 9/11 is correct, then our government should have no secrets concerning these people. That not being the case, then the question becomes 'what was our government's involvement prior to 9/11 then'?

5. The bigger the war criminal, the louder the objections...
Something worth noticing.

8. Afraid some dirty secrets will escape? Perhaps there will be a great naming of names
during such a trial.

I look forward to it and hope there are many breadcrumbs to lead us straight to the den of the war mongering criminals responsible for ALL OF IT.

The whiny screams of outrage coming from the GOP are suspiciously loud and hostile. Even the tiniest runt of the rat litters are screeching.

HA, if I didn't know any better I'd say they were very, very afraid. Of course if there was no wrongdoing than there should be nothing to fear on their part, right?

Bring it on baby!!

9. They're afraid they might one day have to share a cell with one of the ex-Gitmo detainees
Locking up terrorists in the same cell for life--now, that's what I call a good idea!
