This young woman is serving in the Army and has an 11-month old son. She has no family or friends who can care for him, but has been ordered to Afghanistan anyway. Her commanding officer is not giving her a decent amount of time to find a caregiver or a hardship deferment. She is confined to base in Georgia and her little boy is in foster care. Barbara Lee is her Congress person which is a good thing, but she needs to hear from us. This from the Malloy program tonight.

With all the concern for mothers and young children that the politicians profess to have, why would they take the mother away from a 11-month old baby? And then put that baby in foster care? And then send the young mother to Afghanistan? To be court-martialed?

It is criminal.
