I couldn't stand Lou Dobbs, but can't imagine anyone thinking to themselves: "Ooh boy! John King is on!"

He's the epitome of not asking tough follow-up questions. Of not taking sides in a debate between reasonable and crazy. Of using technical gimmicks instead of concise commentary. CNN is clearly doubling down on their "down the middle snoozefest" strategy. But I'm not saying this as an MSNBC fanboy, but as a cable news viewer. CNN is rapidly becoming completely unwatchable. All they have left is Jeffrey Toobin, James Carville (for the snark), and occasionally Rick Sanchez.

15. Yes, there are any number of minorities on CNN, some better than others.
But Tony Harris is the on-air personality who sends me over the edge, since he makes no effort to disguise his bias. The incident that sticks in my craw was during the Israel-Lebanon war, a tough time here on DU. An American woman who was visiting family in Lebanon managed to call in and was on the air with Tony. She attempted to tell him what was the truth on the ground, since she was right there, but he had the gall to argue with her, said this wasn't what "they were hearing," and repeated the "official" version of events. He lost my respect and will never gain it back. x(

2. Thanks, you made me laugh!
"Ooh boy! John King is on!" :eyes::rofl:

But it's really pretty sad. CNN had a chance to attract viewers like us, and they blew it... :-(

However, I also like Rick Sanchez, these days, much to my surprise. :-)

13. Boredom.
Really, I can't stand the stuff. Especially the awful pundit segments and programs, where a bunch of people yelling over top of each other is somehow considered an intelligent argument.

11. King will just reinforce the Beltway Frame Shop, hence
the slant will be CNNs typical (we're not biased in either direction) false equivilency corporate crapola.
