Limbaugh on Palin: "one of the substantive policy books I've read"
Edited on Fri Nov-13-09 09:40 PM by babylonsister

From Rachel Maddow.

Did I mention,

Halperin says that the book does not contain much in the way of policy prescription. It also lacks an index.

1. "most substantive"
He's calling it one of the greatest books on political policy he's ever read? I wonder who's read fewer books, Palin or Blimpball.

some relatives who take Limbaugh as truth. Go figure.

13. Credit where it's due
It's not easy to draw a policy paper in crayon, and stay inside the lines.

books we were all made to read in high school. That's it.

35. Not only that, but they're the shortest ones
I read that she listed her favorites as The Pearl and Animal Farm. Does either even have a hundred pages? And do those seem like books that Palin would like anyway, given their plots and themes?

25. actually, I believe rush to have some VERY interesting reading habits
A number of years ago I was bored and found an abandoned Limbaugh letter that included a book review of a coffee table book of women peeing in public. Now naturally this book review went in the "look at those evil hedonistic liberal lesbian feminist freaks" direction, but I can only assume Mr. Limbaugh only knew about the book because he had obtained a personal copy for his own enjoyment. It didn't sound like something you would find at Barnes and Noble or anywhere but vendors catering to extreme sexual niches.

9. Rushie, the day you went on 'Today' and said you do it for the money... GO AWAY.
People don't believe you anymore.

Like some ever did...

Actually, in 1995 when I was young and far more naive than I am now, I did believe you. But by 1996 I was done with you, thankfully.

I will say this: At least you were honest about your claim you only spin the media's knobs for the money. Most of us knew that already.

10. Limbaugh is an entertainer
He makes outlandish comments which attract attention (such as a thread like this), his ratings stay high and he makes more money.

So who cares what he says?

(Yes, I know, he's not "only an entertainer", he's a corporatist propagandist, but I enjoy pointing out Fatso's hypocrisies).

If I said something that stupid people would rightly mock me but when Rush says it he somehow makes enough money to buy another 32,000 square ft mansion.

Talent on loan from god indeed.
