3. Assuming we have the right bastards
We need to prosecute, honestly and fairly, but considering who was in charge when these guys were apprehended, I'm skeptical about their guilt.

4. That's a pretty big assumption
In fact I'd say it's probable we don't even have the right people.

6. I don't know if they're guilty or not, but I'm pretty sure all the torture has fucked up
our chances of doing a real prosecution. This smells like a show trial to me, and I'm ashamed and disgusted.

9. Thats the purpose of the whole process isn't it?
In my way of thinking of justices these men should be set free because of the many crimes committed against them.

16. Pete Sessions has a problem with justice. He says our justice system is
not designed to handle this sort of case. He said it would make the judges, juries, etc., "targets". McCain is afraid they be aquitted and set loose - even though he's been convinced of their guilt since when. Giuliani is about to have a cardiac arrest over it. Those guys really need to chill.

10. Khalid Sheik Mohammed's confession obtained by torture
the alleged 9/11 mastermind's confession was obtained after being waterboarded by the CIA dozens of times. Is Holder really going to use these dubious confessions to convict him and others? apparently so!

Waterboarding Used 266 Times on 2 Suspects
NY Times

C.I.A. interrogators used waterboarding, the near-drowning technique that top Obama administration officials have described as illegal torture, 266 times on two key prisoners from Al Qaeda, far more than had been previously reported.

The C.I.A. officers used waterboarding at least 83 times in August 2002 against Abu Zubaydah, according to a 2005 Justice Department legal memorandum. Abu Zubaydah has been described as a Qaeda operative.

A former C.I.A. officer, John Kiriakou, told ABC News and other news media organizations in 2007 that Abu Zubaydah had undergone waterboarding for only 35 seconds before agreeing to tell everything he knew.

The 2005 memo also says that the C.I.A. used waterboarding 183 times in March 2003 against Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the self-described planner of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks...link

11. The delay in prosecution was due to the Supreme Court
There were several cases involving the detainees and it took years to work their way through the courts. The Justice Dept. and the military could not act until those cases were resolved.

15. I hope these guys have the best attorneys
I want to "see" the so called "proof" they have that causes 3 steel and concrete buildings to fall due to fire. And how "they" terrorized this country for 2 hours and "got" away with it. Maybe our government can tell us why the Pentagon wasn't protected and protecting downtown D.C. They have already been tried and convicted on TV. This could be fun to watch.
