Obama's decision re Afghanistan is not about Pakistan - it is about the lives of the US military and the cost of meaningless war in terms of deficits. At last there is some consistency and real thinking about serious matters.
The neo-con warmongers are no longer in charge. No longer will the children of the poor be killed for the oil barons. No longer will the war profiteers (including GE) be the decision-makers.

1. Give up the run for President in 2012 and bring our troops home from

Afghanistan and Iraq. Nothing is "winnable" in Afghanistan or Iraq. We havn't "won" anything in Iraq except the ouster of Saddam...who wasn't a threat to the US. Get out of other peoples' countries, stop taking their wealth for our own, and get back to the basics of an industrialized, working nation, making things other people need to raise their standard of living. Stop Wall Street from using money as a product and get them back to investing in our economy and not themselves and their lying ponzi schemes.
Invest in infrastructure and quality of life goods and services for people. We have enough that needs to be done here in the US to keep a workforce busy for the next two decades if we just have enough self-lessness and foresight.
