7. The DLC is a group of Democrats who speak and act with Republicans in

growing transparency. I believe the original purpose was fund raising for Democrats, but they kind of took control. Terry McAullife, Clinton, Pelosi, Biden, Hoyer, Wassterman-Schultz - I'll let others add names. I first figured out what I didn't like by their ultra-milquetoast replies when they were invited to represent Democrats on tv. They are always lovey-dovey with the ultra right host and guests and never put their foot down to say what needed to be said. Lots of joking. NO NO NO passion about the causes. Of course, when you have patsy's as guests - why not invite them back. The cable shows were leading the fight to impeach Clinton and there they were all lovey-dovey. They protect status quo. These are the impressions they left me with. Then, I started watching their votes and their double speak that everyone thought was OK - it was traitorous. They were the ones who pulled the tricks in Florida and Michigan in the last election with electoral votes. They they became whiney.

I have opinions about their role in the 2004 elections. Not good.

They are the reason the word 'progressive' rose up and became a much used and prominent label (to define the anti-DLCers)?.
