Maddow reporting: Barney Frank sez there is a plan, w/WH support, to kill DADT

According to Maddow's reporting, Frank says the death of DADT will be in next year's Defense Authorization bill, much the same way as this year's bill was used to pass (gay) hate crime legislation.

If true, kudos to everyone involved. It is about time.

If true, why did it take so long? The wait is, in my view, unacceptable.

In other words, there is a first hand source - a party to the discussions - in the person of Barney Frank, saying this is the plan.

He said his order of preference is ENDA, DADT, than DOMA in the second term.

He believes that is the order the White House is going.

He thinks DADT will go before ENDA. His preference is ENDA first.
