What does Sarah have in common with W?
They are the two most shallow people to run on a presidential ticket within my lifetime, and that includes Dan Quayle. And, they also share another embarrassing trait: they are PROUD of their lack of substance. In some twisted way, this arrogant ignorance makes them attractive to the chortling Bubbas and giggling gum-poppers who tell interviewers: "He's someone to drink a beer with" and "She's just like me!"

I guess I have to expect that a nation that supports both Dancing with the Stars and Ultimate Fighting has to have it's share of room-temperature IQs and that a certain percentage of these folks will obsess over the former mayor of Wasilla. I do NOT expect to hear occasionally adequate political commentators like Chris Mathews hosting a "Wow, ain't that Sarah sumthin'?" discussion group that seemed to go on forever. If I'd heard "She's the sizzle on the steak!" one more time I'd have up-chucked in my sody pop!

Note to Tweety: Sarah is too ignorant to be ashamed of herself. We have to do it for her. Complimenting her for the "success" of "her" book is akin to congratulating W. for protecting us from Iraq's WMDs.

6. They're very different
One thought that the biggest moment of his Presidency was catching a fish. The other one proudly boasts of her ability to kill and dress a moose as a major credential.

4. Obama needs to fire about 50% of the 'help'.
5. Take polls and find out what are on the electorates minds and ADDRESS them. Get someone in front the camera that people like Michelle
5. Pull one of those W stunts and pay journalists to talk about those issues

8. HUH!!!
Tweety is a closet Republican.
Palin, W and Obama and Bill can connect to the 'great unwashed'. They talk about things that matter to ordinary folks. Bill and W while they have differing IQs (I think) could be a guy that you could have a beer with. BTW I've heard Bill is hell to work for, he's a sharp cookie

10. substantively perfect post
One thing to add that I find extremely annoying is that her "public persona" so attractive to the aformentioned Bubba's and gum poppers you note is a false one. In actuality, she's not outdoorsy, nor is she the rugged hunter/fisherwoman she's made out to be. Our culture is so easily duped by media focus.
