Palin Book Confirms Tension With McCain Aides - 413 pgs. McCain stuck her with $500,000 bill
Edited on Thu Nov-12-09 06:49 PM by RamboLiberal
The rumors are true, according to Sarah Palin: The McCain-Palin campaign was not a happy family. In Palin's "Going Rogue," Palin confirms reports of tension between her aides and those of the 2008 Republican presidential candidate, Sen. John McCain. The vice presidential candidate confirms that she had wanted to speak on election night, but was denied the chance and says she was kept "bottled up" from reporters during the campaign.

Palin also writes harshly of CBS anchor Katie Couric, whom she describes as "badgering" and biased. Palin's series of interviews with Couric were widely regarded as disastrous, leaving the impression of an ill-informed candidate who was unsuited for the job.

-----

She writes about the "jaded aura" of professional campaign aides and how McCain's entourage limited her access to the media, leading to allegations — unfounded, she says — that she was avoiding reporters.

And she says that most of her legal bills were generated defending what she called frivolous ethics complaints, but she reveals that about $500,000 was a bill she received to pay for the McCain campaign vetting her for the VP nod.

She said when she asked the McCain campaign if it would help her financially, she was told McCain's camp would have paid all the bills if he'd won; since he lost, the vetting legal bills were her responsibility.

2. $500,000 to teach this woman where Afganistan is? That poor teacher must've had his work
cut out for him/her.

Keeping her "bottled up", and away from reporters means Mclame's aides are much smarter than he is.

3. some author of a Sarah Palin book on Hardball with Chris Matthews
says that campaign aides are already calling the charge that they stuck Palin with the bill a lie...so many liars between them (Palin and the McCain people), who knows.

4. Broken up into 5 chapters
Those are some mighty long chapters per Keith Olberman. Geez, did she want McCain to lose be more than he did? OK, I admit that I did, but talking to reporters more than she did would have caused an even bigger loss.

5. She also criticizes Charlie Gibson
I guess no one was good enough to interview her, with maybe the exception of Sean Hannity and his on-air tongue bath.

From the article:

"...She writes that ABC newsman Charles Gibson, who had an early interview with her, seemed bored by "substantive issues" stemming from her time as governor and that while speaking with her he "peered skeptically" at her over his glasses like a disapproving principal. ..."

6. Wait a minute Sarah Palin YOU LIE
The bill as confirmed by one of McCain's aides, said the $500,000 bill was for the troopergate investigation and not for vetting her. They said legally they campaign funds could not be used for that because it was personal, altho they would have.

SO tell me what makes her go on record with this big big lie knowing the records will prove she did tell a lie. I suppose she thought McCain was too much of a gentleman to call her up on it. He might have been but his aides did.

But that's not going to stop Fox the Pox from telling the world that and trying to get everyone to believe it.

Sarah Palin YOU LIE

8. Hey Sarah, stop whining about how the media treated you!
Most people would see a question about what newspapers they read as sort of an offhand "By the way..." type of question. Only you could turn "What newspapers do you read?" into a fucking hardball, "gotchya" question!

The amazing thing about all of her interviews is that none of them had ANY questions that a sane person could call "hardball."

*What are a few Supreme Court cases that you disagree with?
*Do you agree with the Bush Doctrine?
*Can you give a couple examples of McCain supporting more regulation for Wall St.?

She is such a fucking moron that those were the "hard questions" for her.
