Miss California director doesn't seem to like Carrie Prejean
Keith Lewis, executive director of Miss California USA and Miss California Teen USA, released a statement on Thursday.

"The public is finally getting a glimpse of the real Carrie Prejean who lives in her own delusional world," he said. "The childish behavior, her negative attitude, the sarcasm and condescending tone, the disrespect and continual lying she is demonstrating now is only a fraction of what we endured during her reign and after."

"Anyone who buys her book is supporting a woman who is actually the opposite of everything she claims to be," the statement went on to say. "I sincerely hope she is able to get the psychological help I believe she has shown to clearly need."

2. As I wrote elsewhere
Prejean has serious issues. I agree that she should seek help immediately.

3. It's funny how he mentions "psychological help".
I just emailed some folks the youtube video of Prejean on Larry King. I wrote that anyone who thinks Sarah Palin would make a good president needs to be locked up in a mental hospital.

Perhaps Republicanism should be classified as a developmental disorder.

One of the main divides between left and right is the dependence on different moral values. For liberals, morality derives mostly from fairness and prevention of harm. For conservatives, morality also involves upholding authority and loyalty — and revulsion at disgust.

Some evolutionary psychologists believe that disgust emerged as a protective mechanism against health risks, like feces, spoiled food or corpses. Later, many societies came to apply the same emotion to social “threats.” Humans appear to be the only species that registers disgust, which is why a dog will wag its tail in puzzlement when its horrified owner yanks it back from eating excrement.

Psychologists have developed a “disgust scale” based on how queasy people would be in 27 situations, such as stepping barefoot on an earthworm or smelling urine in a tunnel. Conservatives systematically register more disgust than liberals.

6. Larry really touched a nerve, and he didn't even mean to.
Of course she 'touched a nerve' to begin with and that's how this all got started.

He wanted desperately to get her to say she masturbated on tape. He asked her the same question like 4 or 5 times after she said she wouldnt answer it.

She shouldnt have come unhinged she should be expecting it but to imply larry didnt mean it is tripe.

32. Yeah, from what I heard on the local news here
King was not supposed to ask about the settlement nor take calls. And I agree with you about her behavior. Simply stating what was agreed to before the interview would have been much more "appropriate" than her infantile antics. What a madcap!

7. she reminds me of the movie about the famous case
hrmm, can't remember the names, but it was the woman who shot and drowned her kids because her boyfriend disliked children.

The woman who played the part did a good job of depicting a sociopathic personality, and Prejean reminds me of that character.

She's not dumb, well, probably more like average IQ digits, but boyyy is she ever a classic personality disorder, anti-social/narcissistic, case. IMnotsoHO

uck just makes my skin crawl.

11. Are you thinking of Susan Smith?
Interesting tidbit in her bio:

It was disclosed in her trial that Susan was molested in her teens by her stepfather Beverly Russell, an outwardly righteous pillar of the community, and a member of the South Carolina Republican party executive committee. Russell admitted that he molested Susan when she was a teenager and had consensual sex with her as an adult.

19. I think so
Did you happen to see the movie I'm talking about?

I really like good acting, so I was pretty impressed with the woman who played the part; don't remember who, this was several years ago. As I remember, her (Smith's) personality was completely given over to lies and phony cover stories masking her complete lack of concern for other people. I've known a few people like that, so I remember some moments where the actress realllllllllly got the bizarre overly enthusiastic yet detached quality exactly right.

Thanks for the added interest--sad, nauseating. And unsurprising. :(

Personally, I don't think childhood trauma in itself results in personality disorders, but they sure do help underlying vulnerabilities blossom (ugh, poor word for it unless you're thinking of blossom like a carnivorous deadly vine, or killer kudzu).

29. That was "Small Sacrifices" based on the case of Diane Downs.
A very big deal here in Oregon back in the mid-80s, where she shot her kids, killed one of them, disabled the other two for life, the speculated motive being because her boyfriend didn't want kids. Diane was a genuine wacko, sociopathic is a good enough description, and I've always thought she completely changed the reality of what she'd done in her own mind as her way of dealing with it. Hard to figure someone who's that far removed from sanity. The movie starred Farrah Fawcett, who played Diane as too reasonable and acceptable in my opinion, and Ryan O'Neal played the boyfriend Diane was trying to please in her own sick twisted way. Read the book "Small Sacrifices" by Ann Rule--she lays it all out there. You nailed the diagnosis for Diane--would just hate to think Carrie Prejean has the same personality disorder, and if so, let us pray she never has kids.

Diane's still in prison, seeking parole after lo these many years, still claiming she didn't shoot her kids. The prosecutor in the case adopted the two surviving children, now groan. I personally hope Downs never sees the light of day outside prison walls.

24. Who ghost wrote her "book"?
I didn't even know she had an object with words coming out. I just looked it up on Amazon and the list price is $27.95. Amazon is selling it for $18.45, but if you pair it up with Palin's upcoming POS, you can get 'em both for the bargain price of $27.45. And if you wait about six months, you'll find both at Big Lots free with a purchase of cocktail weenies!

Not surprising, the California Queen of Self-Pleasure's tome is coming via that esteemed publishing house called Regenery.

26. Self pleasure? So is that what her X rated video was about, then?
For what it's worth, at least it was safe sex. Too bad it wasn't with another trampy, silicone-breasted woman.

Anyway, I can't even begin to imagine how banal and mind-numbing her book is. It could only be worse than Sarah Palin's book, because at least Sarah Palin has led a somewhat interesting life.

"I've been attacked and my first amendment rights violated", she says over and over, while bugging her eyes out and looking shocked and horrified. Her attitude makes her as homely as a snarling hyena. Hate on the inside makes you ugly on the outside, honey.
