There is a scientific term for 'Teh Stupid.'
Dunning-Kruger Effect
What is the Dunning-Kruger Effect?

The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it".

The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average, much higher than actuality; by contrast the highly skilled underrate their abilities, suffering from illusory inferiority. This leads to a perverse result where less competent people will rate their own ability higher than relatively more competent people.

Too dumb to realize that they're dumb.

6. There was an article out some years ago that I post

every once in a while, an expanded version of your article. It explains the far right beautifully. They're angry and misled and too dumb to realize they're being misled because they're full of confidence that they're absolutely right about everything.

"Incompetence is Bliss," http://www.nytimes.com/2000/02/06/magazine/the-way-we-live-now-2-6-00-incompetence-is-bliss.html

On edit: it's also why I'm totally soured on confident leaders. Give me a muddler who's never sure he's on the right track and keeps checking the results. He's likely to be a lot smarter than the charismatic doofus.

11. sigh..
It's finding out stuff like this that make me long for the ultimate destruction of all humans on this planet. Humans are so irretrievably stupid, we should just become extinct before we destroy the planet; maybe intelligent rats will have better luck than we did.

and the economy is fine and women needed to be discriminated against so people can still pay $10,000 a year for health care.
