There is a protest on Health Care at my republican congressman's office. I don't like the bill, but my congressman's reasoning for voting against it is the exact opposite of my reasoning for not liking it.

Do I go to the protest?

Because you will be seen as supporting the all the others, rather than for the reasons you stated, which is the opposite.

In this case, get point made that his view is NOT the majority view. If I were able, I would go, spread some facts, up the body count against his stand. The very vocal minority needs to be confronted with our sheer numbers.

That's not all that strange in itself, but I keep reading your post and I think you're pulling my leg. Both of you don't like it but for opposite reasons? So what would you protest? That he should not like it the same as you don't like it?

You should probably organize a protest of like minded people which might be productive if anyone notices but bolstering the right is counterproductive in the big picture.

when I encountered them at my local townhall (couldn't get inside because they were at capacity), I wished I had walked up to one of them without looking confrontational and said, "Ya know, my family pays $25,000 a year out of pocket for our premiums. We can't afford to continue paying this. We don't qualify for Medicare or Medicaid. We were turned down by the completing ins. company. What do you think we should do?"

I don't think they ever hear a real human argument FOR reform.

This fight is hard enough without involving repigs and teh stupid.
