I hope Lou Reed replaces Lou Dobbs on CNN.
Who among us would not be improved hearing Lou Reed for an hour five days a week?

Never liked Dobbs. Always liked Lou Reed. You see the logic.

2. Or make it a panel discussion led by Tom Waits and Iggy Pop.

4. Hey there, Heidi. Good to see you.
And good morning right back.

Yes. A Panel discussion. Lou Reed might not be enough of an 'A' personality. He's kind of subdued in many respects, which is the source of his charisma, probably.

33. I would LOVE to see Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, Iggy Pop and Tom Waits doing a FONDUE PARTY
panel discussion in lieu of Lou Dobbs. THAT would be a heckofa CNN prize-winning program.

P.S. Back to you, leveymg!

7. I took that line as social irony and not as a Tancredoism.
Lou's a New York City lad and knows the territory.

Also, how on God's earth did that song ever slip past the censors? A 12-year old could have figured that one out at first listen.

15. Yep. We may have to be flexible. The pitch to Reed has to be just
right.

Lou Reed probably doesn't watch cable news. He might not even have a tv.

but that is just me.

17. Hey there. Yes, he was.
Aaron Brown's coverage and reporting and analysis of the Katrina story was strictly top-drawer.

CNN should be ashamed of itself for keeping a hack like Blitzer and showing Brown the door.

Lou Costello could replace Lou Dobbs.

(I always kind of wished Leslie Caron had married Elvis Presley.)

With Reed as Senate Majority Leader I bet Joe Lieberman's chairmanship gets yanked pronto.

Lou Grant IS a journalist! Maybe Mary Richards could be his producer? Special commentary by Ted Baxter or Billie Newman (I think that was the redheads name)?

35. If he weren't dead, that's be a great idea!
On the other hand, I can see ways in which the disembodied voice of Lou Rawls would be infinitely superior to the wrong-minded, fully embodied voice of Lou Dobbs. :hi:

Lou Rawls, (December 1, 1933 – January 6, 2006), rest in peace.
