17. Actually, I believe that she was releived of her position as "runner up" for the Pageant.

I think that the Pageant was citing "breech of contract" because she has missed appearances as part of her duties. She was counter suing for "violation of her freedom of speech" which I think was merit-less. The Pageant was informed of the tape, which violates the policy against explicit photos, etc... for Pageant contestants. They were planning to introduce the tape as evidence of further violations of the policies, just as when the bathing suit and topless (I believe) photos came out. Trump personally gave her a pass on that violation, but should not have.

So you are correct that she is not being punished for her stance on gay marriage. Her answer, which was completely stupid anyway, cost her the crown, because it was so poorly worded and probably because it offended the judge Perez Hilton. She and other conservative windbags started claiming that she was being persecuted for her beliefs because that is the only thing they ever know to do. They continue to lie to this day, but the more notoriety she continues to have, the more she will suffer in the end.

Funny thing is that Prejean is kind of like her idol Palin. Palin quit being governor because of heat she had brought on herself. Prejean was booted from her position for quitting and not showing up to perform her duties as the 2nd place winner. They are both quitters who did not perform their duties, who are now claiming to be attacked for their beliefs. They are also both seemingly average to below average intelligence conservative women, who do not speak coherently, yet still have platforms from which to speak.
