4. I knew that was you on the other thread Moderator.
LOL! It's your kind of post. So I made a wild guess and came up with the Ace. However, I can't say what I said again. Too, tired to repeat it all again.
Nothing was more pathetic than this guy getting on "ET" or "Extra" or any other camera thrown in front of him, begging for her attention and for her acceptance.
I loved him in his movies (The Odessa File is my all time favorite), but when I saw his antics and his vicious attacks on Obama, it really threw me for a loop.
Once passionate liberals whom you could be proud of who become right wing xenophobes and bigots who consistently outdo each other in stupidity and idiocy?
21. The real person behind the idol is usually quite different than the roles
they play on the screen. I grew up around movie people and met a lot of actors as well including some famous one. They can often be quite disappointing in person. Some of the most charming and charismatic off screen are often only supporting players on screen. I used to be a bartender and there was one guy who came in several times a week who was really goofy and who will remain unnamed here. Then one day he got a big starring role which catapulted him eventually into fame. I went to see the movie to be supportive and was amazed at what sex appeal and machismo he oozed on screen nothing like he was in person. The only reason I could tell he was the same guy was because he looked like him and frankly I knew his facial quirks and his hair line. I congratulated him after on a job well done. I had to throw out another well known international star on a regular basis because he would deteriorate into a nasty drunk. Yet, his work over the decades has become iconic.
So enjoy Voight the actor and despise Voight the man. It works better that way.
17. I think that's what he said - not what she said.
There was a brief blurb on huffpo that only said they met earlier in the year. Didn't really sound like much to me beyond him once again trying to leach off his daughters fame.
She was right to separate herself from him, and not because of his political beliefs. Any father that would publicly announce his daughter has mental problems is probably at least half the reason she has the problems. Not a big fan of Jolie or the brangela sagas, but it was good that she stood up for herself.
