I do not have an account so I can not read all the details, but I believe that this is a Government contract job; meaning, the company hiring for this position is under Government contract and therefore being paid with tax dollars.

Also, why the hell does a company need such a position?

2. And a Masters gets you $10 bucks tops? It almost sounds like it's from the Onion.
They should be fined for that alone. Can we bust 'em?

5. Fined? Are you serious?
There is nothig illegal about this add. Gov't contractors are private, not public positions.

Sounds like a position for a Bob Joneser or Liberty U.

13. Oh -- I misread it -- I was thinking 'government'. Must have glazed over the
"contractor" part. I was still reeling from the $10 wage for a Masters!

3. No reason to be Fed contract. Sounds more like Christian lobbying effort.

18. Really? I am shocked. How would anyone be expected to pay off their
tuition at that type of pay? Even a Liberty U on-line degree costs some big bucks. I remember looking to relocate to FL or AZ back in the late 80's and finding pay scales a bit lower than here in the midwest, but not drastically. The lower cost of living pretty much made it a wash. That was for HS graduate, blue collar type of work.

19. Oh, I disagree with that. Even laborers make $7 to $10 an hour here in North Carolina.
That seems like a really bad wage, even for the Southeast.

Of course, if you're working for Jaheeezus, why would you need to make a living wage?

16. How Does One Communicate "Effectually"
The education requirement seems unreasonable given the position and salary even in a poor job market.

17. And the word is "effectively"
I have a BS in English, and it just drives me insane how badly writing skills in this country have deteriorated. This is something any high schooler should know. Grammar, punctuation, and spelling were actually big topics back in my high school English classes.

20. I know. It took a while to chisel my term papers in granite,
so I was careful with my grammar, spelling and punctuation. Those tablets made my backpack mighty heavy.

I graduated from high school in 1978 -- it sometimes seems like it was 1878.

22. It sounds like they want somebody to lecture the Feds
on how to conduct business according to the babble. I'm puzzled about what such a company could be and all I can come up with is a megachurch that has gotten used to swimming in faith based tax dollars and wants to keep the gravy train rolling.

Still, a degree and 60 wpm? They're not going to find anybody for that parsimonious paycheck. I have a feeling that job will go unfilled for a very long time until they find some babble school grad who can barely read and hunt and peck on a keyboard.

You get what you pay for, folks.
