There is no clearer indication that Big Insurance and Big Pharma are in control
of "health care reform" than that virtually every MSM discussion of what will happen in the Senate STILL begins with the clearly erroneous "given" that Democrats need "60 votes" in order to prevail. Some Republicans have said we should have to get 80 votes, i.e., a clearly "bipartisan" majority for such a serious change of the nation's course. Why not go with that?

There's no way in hell any real health care reform can get either 60 or 80 votes in this Senate.

50 plus Joe Biden is what we should be focussed on and let it sink in that buying Lieberman and Nelson was a very poor investment.

... if this was good for people and bad for insurance/HMO's/pharma, the Dow would be freaking the hell out.
