Fast-food chain Carl's Jr. has stopped the ad campaign for its Chicken Parmesan Sandwich after Italian-American groups complained about the mafia-themed commercials.

I remember a similar incident from a few years ago that created a stir (at least on DU), where it was a print add (I think for Pappa Johns), with the caption "it's a family thing" (or something similar to that).

6. They have the worst ads

Apparently, their marketing geniuses found out that young males who don't know how to cook are their prime market, so they cater to the slob who can't eat without wearing half his food on his shirt. Their food is good, but if you are easily grossed out, go through the drive through. However, if you can fart and belch at the same time you have your finger knuckle deep up your nose, Carl's is your place!
