9. It happened and I got a nice Boxster. Glad he was at a stop light, had

his top down, and seat belt off. He flew straight up. The engine died when his foot came off the clutch, so the car didn't go into the intersection. There were a couple wrecks, but they were easy to avoid. There was a Beretta in the glove box. I can sell it later. Might sell the Boxster and get a Prius.

I'm now eying some homes in the better part of town.

10. The "Rapture" is doctrine that was discovered in the 19th century

and is based on very thin Biblical ice because it was created by torturing and forcing unrelated scriptures together. Thirty-some years ago Hal Lindsey and the Rapture bunch were in a frenzy then because they thought it would happen any moment.

Decades ago in another life I studied the doctrine of the Rapture in order to better understand it because my church preached it and I came out the other side. I looked at scriptures in the original languages and studied about what was prophecy and what had already happened and came to the conclusion that the doctrine of the Rapture is crap.

12. The Rapture is tricky thing to predict.

There are many different dates given for the rapture and many different ways to predict that date. Personally, I like the really flashy websites citing some strange code written in the bible itself. Often times, many will like reading the Rapture Ready news to sort of get the feel for when the time comes to get yourself ready to meet Jesus! Oh boy! Of course you can also find many failed dates at this site. Opps! Guess we used the wrong code. Anyway, the rapture is coming and if you have pets, you should be ready to have them cared for by pet loving atheists for a small monthly fee. Have a happy rapture.
