You might find a bit of a pinkie in the next few minutes. Maybe. Did I mention I don't like wintah?

4. Still a bright sunny day here near Chicago
Edited on Wed Nov-11-09 04:50 PM by NNN0LHI
54 degrees.

I don't mind winter. I like watching the seasons change.

It will be spring before you know it. Then you will forget all about winter.

7. Wintah is wicked bad
I worked rotating shifts for a while. There were times I'd wake up and the clock would say 5:00 and I wouldn't have a clue whether it was morning or evening until I went out and flipped on the TV.

Working 8 to 5 in Boston in the wintah sucks.

10. No matter how many winters
I've been through, I just can't get used to the darkness. It really does feel like we've added another hour...the evenings before bedtime seem endless.

I hate winter. The darkness and cold, I mean.

Snowstorms themselves are pretty neat. Especially if one is snug and cozy inside with a roaring pellet stove fire and lots of hobbies to stay busy with. :)

is a tiny pink line on the horizon.

21. switching back to EST for four months is stupid.
leave DST in place during the winter. it would eliminate a lot of annoying clock switching if we never fell back.

29. Suburban parents whine that the kiddies have to wait
for the school bus in the dark.

Solution: reschedule school opening an hour later. Teenagers would love it.

J/K! I'm at home in N. California.

Somebody's gonna chime in, though, and they'll be in some fabulous warm place, like Rio, where it's summer.

27. It is the result of Global Time Shifting. Soon it will be dark 24hrs/day.
Due to the overuse of computer and digital clocks.

Seriously, it is.
