How about a counterbalance, till campaign finance reform mercifully arrives. A squad, of lobbyists, that represent teh best interests of the people, that is in the room, always, with the lobbyist, like a chaperone. Houndog those lobbyists. Get the gov. to respond to more than bribes. The money wouldnt go away. In fact, if they couldnt lie and scam, the money would be even more important to them. Them, being the lobbyists employers.

Or maybe not cabinet level. But with that kind of power, and directed when necessary, to oppose the snakes that undermine the voters will, and well being. Sorta like the GAO. A non partisan org. You could issue a chaperone, to any lobbying meeting whatsoever. There would be no more secrets. No schemes. No corruption, at that level.

1. I'd be in favor of anything that opens up these backroom deals
that end up favoring the upper one percent and risk biting the average citizen in the ass. A lobbyist watchdog of some kind.

3. Yes to us and the media.
I like the idea of it being like the GAO, or Internal Affairs on a police force. Keep things as transparent as possible.

5. Yeah they couldn't divulge the inner-workings of any black projects
but they sure could employ a score of people just keeping track of defense contractors as well as the financial/insurance sectors.
