Republican congressman Eric Cantor is a prick

Michelle Bachmann's call for lunatics to march on Washington against the health care program produced a few thousand nuts screaming in front of the capitol.

And one of them carried a poster of emaciated, stacked up bodies at the Nazi Dachau concentration camp. The sign carrier was comparing the health care program to the Holocaust.

Republican House minority whip Eric Cantor of Virginia was a speaker at this collection of nuts. Afterwards, he was asked to comment on the poster.

A spokesperson for him said it was "unfortunate." Unfortunate??? Unfortunate??? Perhaps Congressman Cantor thinks the Holocaust was also "Unfortunate."

This has to be one of the most egregious public statements in recent memory. And the MSM totally ignored it. Cantor, marching in lock step (goose step?) with his party did not condemn the poster.

Keith Olbermann gave this story about one minute last night. It deserved much more time than that. Why? Because it tells us that so many Republicans are the scum of the earth.

In ignoring Cantor's dismissive reaction to bigotry and hatred, we do so at our own peril. I repeat -- This man is a prick. -- A dangerous prick. (And whether or not you dislike my use of obscenity in describing this man, sometimes you have to hit a mule over the head to get it's attention.)
